Samantha Hall Hair and Makeup
Last updated: 26/01/2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to:
• Your use of our website and online content; and
• Enquiries and bookings for hair and makeup services made with Samantha Hall Hair and Makeup, whether via website, email, telephone or social media.
They sit alongside our separate Hair & Makeup Service Agreement, which you may be asked to sign for specific bookings. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Service Agreement, the Service Agreement will take precedence for that booking.
By using our website, making an enquiry or booking services with us, you agree to these Terms.
1. About us

Contact email: info@samanthahallmakeup.com
Website: www.samanthahallmakeup.com
2. Services
We offer a range of mobile hair and makeup services, including but not limited to:
• Bridal hair and makeup
• Bridal party and special occasion styling
• Nail services
• Hairstyling
• Custom beauty packages
The exact services, prices, date, time and location for each booking will be agreed in writing (for example by email, message confirmation or Service Agreement) before the appointment.
3. Bookings and deposits
• A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.
• Your booking is not fully confirmed until:
– We have confirmed availability; and
– We have received the deposit by the specified date.
For bookings:
• Over £100 – the remaining balance must be paid at least 7 days before the booking date.
• Under £100 – the remaining balance may be paid on the day of service, before the appointment is completed.
Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of booking (typically bank transfer, card payment or cash).
If payments are not received by the due dates, we may cancel the booking and retain any deposit paid.
4. Changes, cancellations and rescheduling by you
We understand that plans can change and will always try to be fair and reasonable.
• You may request to reschedule a booking up to 4 weeks before the service date, subject to our availability.
• Rescheduling with less than 4 weeks’ notice may be refused or may incur additional fees and is at our discretion.
• The 20% deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances, as it covers administration, time reserved and loss of other potential bookings.
• Once any payment has been made (deposit or balance), no refunds are given due to the tailored and time-specific nature of the services.
If you need to significantly change the size of the booking (for example, reducing the number of people), please inform us as early as possible. We reserve the right to charge based on the originally agreed numbers if changes are made at short notice and we are unable to re-fill the time.
5. Cancellations and changes by us
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel or significantly change your booking (for example due to illness, emergency, or events beyond our control):
• We will notify you as soon as reasonably possible; and
• We will offer to:
– Reschedule the appointment where feasible; or
– Refund any payments you have made for services we have not yet provided (including the deposit).
We are not responsible for any additional costs you may incur as a result of our cancellation (e.g. travel, accommodation, or third-party supplier costs).
6. Travel, parking and waiting time
We are a mobile business and travel to your chosen location.
• Travel is charged at a base rate of 50p per mile (round trip) from our address, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Parking charges, tolls or congestion fees (if applicable) may be added to your invoice at cost.
Waiting time / delays
• We allow a reasonable buffer for minor delays on the day.
• Where there is a delay of more than 30 minutes caused by you or your party (for example, late arrival, not being ready, or needing to re-do styles beyond what was agreed), we reserve the right to charge £20 per hour, rounded up to the nearest 30 minutes.
• If we have another booking immediately after yours, we may need to leave at the scheduled departure time even if all services have not been completed, where the delay was not caused by us. In such cases no refund will be given for incomplete services.
7. Trials
Bridal and event trials:
• Are charged separately unless otherwise stated.
• Provide an opportunity to explore and refine your desired look. However, we cannot absolutely guarantee identical results on the day due to differences in conditions (lighting, skin condition, hair condition, timings etc.).
We strongly recommend trials for bridal bookings.
8. Client responsibilities
You agree to:
• Provide accurate information about your allergies, sensitivities or relevant medical conditions before services begin.
• Ensure that the area where services will take place is:
– Clean and hygienic
– Well lit
– Has access to power and a suitable chair/table where needed
• Ensure that hair is clean and dry, and that skin is clean and free from heavy products where requested.
• Ensure that members of your party are available at the agreed times (e.g. bridesmaids, family members).
We are not responsible for any adverse reactions where information was not disclosed, or where products you supplied were used at your request.
9. Hygiene, products and safety
• We follow reasonable standards of hygiene, including cleaning brushes and tools regularly and using sanitary methods of product application.
• We primarily use professional-grade products. If you have sensitivities, you can request a product list in advance.
• If at any point you develop irritation or discomfort, you must inform us immediately so that we can stop or adjust the products used.
We reserve the right to refuse to carry out or continue services where we consider it unsafe, unhygienic, or where a client is behaving in an abusive, threatening, or inappropriate manner.
10. Photography and social media
As set out in the Service Agreement:
• We may take photographs of the finished hair and makeup for our portfolio, website and social media, unless you have ticked the opt-out box or otherwise informed us that you do not wish your images to be used.
• You may withdraw your permission at any time for future use of your identifiable images by contacting us. We will take reasonable steps to remove images from our active marketing, but cannot control content already shared or saved by third parties.
Clients are welcome to take their own photos and share them, but we ask that you credit Samantha Hall Hair and Makeup where appropriate.

Our use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website or on request. Please read it carefully, as it explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and your rights.
15. Governing law
These Terms, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
